‘Professional Education and Economic Needs of the Black Sea Region’

ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

1. Place, Date & Venue
 

The Permanent International Secretariat (PERMIS) of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), in cooperation with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, is organizing an International Conference ‘Professional Education and Economic Needs of the Black Sea Region’, to be held in Chişinău, on 24 April 2015. The Conference is included in the Calendar of Events of the Republic of Moldova Chairmanship-in-Office of BSEC (July-December 2015).

2. Registration & Accreditation
 

A Registration Form is attached herewith as Annex I, which should be completed for each participant. It should be returned not later than 1 April 2015 to the following email addresses:

Identification badges, the final programme and a provisional list of participants will be included in the welcome pack provided to delegates at the Registration Desk in the venue.

3. Event Coordinators
 

All enquiries regarding substantive issues and a Programme of the Conference should be directed to the following e-mail addresses:

4. Transportation
 

Participants of the Conference are supposed to provide transportation from/to Chisinau International Airport by themselves.
The venue of the Conference is situated about 13 km far from Chisinau International Airport,
a 20-minute drive from the airport. Further information regarding the airport is available at: www.airport.md.

5. Accommodation
 

Participants of the Conference are supposed to cover hotel accommodation expenses by themselves. The organizers will cover hotel accommodation expenses for up to two representatives from each BSEC Member State and a limited number of key-note speakers and panellists.

Special room rates have been obtained for participants of the Conference at the following hotels:

  • Jolly Alon Hotel and Business Center
  • Codru
  • Dacia Hotel
  • Regency

Please note that in order to obtain these special rates, reservations should be made directly to the hotel, with the indication “International Conference on Education”.

The relevant information on the hotel accommodation is contained in Annex II.

6. Visas
 

Participants may consult if they need an entry visa for the Republic of Moldova at: www.mfa.gov.md.
Visas can be obtained at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in the respective countries.
Please note that entry visas cannot be issued on arrival at the border or at the airport in Chisinau.

7. Programme and Working Languages
 

The Draft Programme of the Conference is attached herewith as Annex III. The working languages of the Conference will be English, Russian and Romanian. Simultaneous interpreting will be provided between these languages.

8. Other information
 

Climate: Temperatures in Chisinau at this time of the year are mild and warm, varying from 12°C to 16°C.
